what search term has beat out wii and ps3 on ebay?
webkinz. they are among the most searched products on ebay. for those of you that don't know what they are, webkinz are stuffed animals that come with a secret code. with it, you can access the virtual webkinz world, care for your webkinz, answer trivia, and interact with other "pet" owners. here's a sampling of some of the retired models - as you can see, prices are sky high!

would you PAY for an internship at GQ magazine?
well, the details of this opportunity make it actually pretty interesting. GQ magazine listed an auction on eBay for a month long internship at GQ, a chance to meet singer John Legend, a $1,000 designer wardrobe and a bunch of other cool things. the lucky winning bidder paid $30,200, all of which was donated to the following charities: Global Green, DIFFA, A Better Chance, Career Gear, & Justice For Children.

imagine cruising around town in this baby!
this may very well be my favorite ebay listing ever. up for auction is probably the most famous car in TV history - the Dukes of Hazzard car! there's a lot of history behind this car too - you have to checkout the listing description on eBay to learn more. and, well, it's not cheap either (we're fixing the unusually long price bug).
Robert Scoble charity auction - ipod shuffle and more!
Robert Scoble, prominent technology blogger and author of the popular book Naked Conversations - How Blogs are Changing the Way Businesses Talk With Customers, posted a listing yesterday on eBay for an ipod shuffle and three of his favorite hats from Google, Windows Vista and Firefox. It's only been a day and there are already 9 bids. And all the proceeds will be donated to Diabetes Research. Check it out and if you're in the market for an ipod shuffle or a fan of Robert, bid!
